How to Start a Two-Bit Operation: Small Business Tips Rotating Header Image

I do feel older, but not because of my birthday

Well, Saturday was my birthday and we spent it working all day.  We did have a nice break to have dinner at Lawry’s for some excellent prime rib, but we inevitably ended up talking more about work after too much wine and beer.  The past few weeks have been so wonderfully productive (partially due to the new early schedule - see earlier post) that my sleep has been way down.  I think it’ll probably catch up with me again, but it’s hard to resist riding the wave of productivity and energy.  We’re particularly excited because it’s starting to feel like things are coming together a little more lately.  We’re doing some testing with a very small group of alpha users, and we plan to launch an open beta in a little over a month.  Exciting stuff :)  While we have been a little lax enforcing our own internal deadlines before, I think we’ll stick to this one pretty well.  We’re pretty antsy to let it loose and our productivity and confidence is riding high enough that 1 month seems totally feasible.

Anyways, that’s my rant for now (beer makes me talkative).  Now that I’m a year older, I suppose there’s a bit of added pressure to get back to making money.  So I’ll end the post now, suck up any fatigue, and get back to work.

I dont recall the last time i had both wine and beer at the same meal. Must be great! Happy birthday! Is there a celebration category you can put this under instead of productivity and rant?=) Seems like there’s a ton of progress (since beer always makes you tell the truth), I can’t wait to see what’s going on.

What’s actually interesting is that although Justin’s a year older now…he’s STILL a young’un compared to the rest of us! (ok, not including Natasha…)

    Thanks!

Mike, there’s no celebrating until there’s something to celebrate about! Maybe once we launch something I’ll take a breather.
